Nigeria won their second straight FIBA Women’s AFROBasket title as they beat Senegal 60-55 on Sunday night at Dakar arena making it their fourth AFROBasket title. The Nigerian team won three out of the four quarters of the finals showing their dominance in the game.

Ezinne Kalu was named the MVP(Most Valued Player) of the tournament due to her amazing performance through out the competition

According to FIBA.basketball, Otis Hughley Jr, the Nigerian women basketball head coach said

“We have been here before. We prepared ourselves as though every game would be like this. It is just that the previous games did not give us live training outside of playing ourselves so when that came, we had already been programmed. It is entrenched in our DNA to be ready for a tight game, make smart decisions and take care of the ball and that is what we did,”
