Fani-Kayode want Nigeria to break, advocates creation of Oduduwa Republic

Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation has called for the restructuring of Nigeria according to regions noting that the Yoruba people have been treated as second class citizens in Nigeria.

The ex-minister stated this on Thursday, at a gathering of Yoruba leaders who converged at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamashingba, Ibadan in Oyo state to discuss the position of the Yoruba people in the ongoing call for restructuring.

Speaking at the event, Fani-Kayode said: “The Yoruba people had been treated as second class citizens in the country and described such treatment as unacceptable. 90% of Yoruba people support restructuring of the country. Nigeria might break-up if Oduduwa Republic is not created.”

He further added that  anyone who truly believes in the unity of Nigeria will support restructuring because without restructuring, the country will break. Nigeria was not a federation but a unity state with a federal outlook.
