Federal University, Katsina, reappoints Prof. Agbo as DVC administration

The management of the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State, has approved the reapportionment of Prof. Mary Agbo as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) administration.

This is contained in a letter signed by the Registrar of the University, Malam Iliyasu Falalu, and issued to newsmen on Thursday in Katsina by the FUDMA spokesperson, Malam Habib Umar-Amin.

According to the letter, Prof. Abgo, from the department of Political Science, was appointed to serve for another two years.

“I am pleased to convey the approval of the Governing Council, FUDMA, for confirmation of your appointment as DVG administration for another period of two years, beginning from Feb. 19, 2023, to Feb. 18, 2025.

“The appointment is sequel to your selection by the Senate at its 103rd special meeting held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2023.

“Accordingly. you are answerable to the Vice Chancellor (VC) who assigns duties/responsibilities to you from his numerous functions that he is unable to perform as VC.

“You are also expected to perform any such other functions as VC or the Council may from time to time assign to you.” the registrar said.

According to him, the new DVC is required to work harmoniously with the VC and other members of the University management in the spirit of teamwork and overall Corporate objectives of the University.

He added that Prof. Agbo is also required to assist the VC in providing innovations that will revolutionize the administrative machinery of the institution for efficient and effective service delivery.
