Fireboy DML Shrugs Off Music Rankings

Date:

Nigerian singer Adedamola Adefolahan also know as Fireboy DML has said he is unconcerned about industry rankings and how critics rate his music, insisting that the support of his fans matters most to him.

The Peru hitmaker shared his views during a recent episode of the 90s Baby podcast, where he spoke candidly about public perception and artistic validation.

Fireboy said he does not place importance on being listed among the “Top 5” or “Top 10” artistes, noting that fan appreciation is more meaningful than external accolades.

“I don’t really care about Top 5 or Top 10, as long as I have fans who rate me,” he said.

According to the singer, the loyalty and belief of his listeners give him enough fulfilment, adding that some of his fans already consider him the best in the world.

“I know that I have fans that think I’m the best artiste in the whole world, and that is good enough for me. I’m a very contented person,” he added.
