Five prominent traditional rulers, others to arrive Kwara for turbaning of Arowona Abdulazeez as Shettiman Okuta

Sequel to the Ganni Festival and turbaning of new title holders of the Okuta Emirate in Baruten LGA of Kwara State, more than five prominent Northern Emirs have cofirmed attendance.

Recall that ROYAL NEWS reported that Alhaji Abdulazeez Arowona would be turbanned as the Shettiman of Okuta as part of the line up events at the Ganni Festival.

The letter signed by the council’s secretary, Alhaji Aliyu Usara, said the Emirs would attend the Jumaat Prayer on Friday November 5, at the Emirs palace with the Emir of Ilorin before proceeding to Okuta for main event where the media aide to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Arowona, would be turnbarned as Shettima of Okuta.

The list of the invited Emirs are His Royal highness Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, Emir of Wase Alhaji Muhammadu Sambo Haruna and the Emir of Damaturu Alhaji Shehu Hashimi II Ibn Umar Al Amin Elkanemi.

Others are the Ohimegye of Koton Karfi Alhaji Abdul Rasaq Gambo Sani Isah Koto, Emir of Azara Alhaji Kabir Musa Ibrahim and Gomo of Kuje Alhaji Haruna Tanko Jibrin.

Meanwhile, sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate and Kwarans have been urged to troop out en masse to honour the first class traditional rulers.
