The President General Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen (Attijaniyya), Nigeria, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi ll, has advised eligible voters in Nigeria to register, obtain their Voter Card (PVC) and vote for the best and competent candidates in all positions in subsequent elections.

The former Kano Emir stated this Sanusi on Saturday in Lokoja, on the last day of the Nigerian Maulid 4th World Anniversary Three-day Annual Conference, honoring the Holy Prophet Muhammad, with the theme: “Prophetic Solutions to Questions of Humanity ”.

He urged the group to vote for the best person who is most competent in each position, regardless of political party or religious affiliation.

“If our young people get jobs, the economy of the whole country will improve. The most important thing is that we are not a political party, but we cannot just sit back and ignore politics.

”All Attijaniyya members from the age of 18, male or female, go and get your voter card.
Allah commands you to place your trust in the hands of trustworthy people.

“Now we are at the moment when the people who appoint the leaders are, your vote is your power, you have a responsibility.

“I am not saying that you should vote only for members of Attijaniyya, Muslims or for any political party; you have to vote for each position for the best person who is most competent, “he said.

“If you don’t take on this responsibility, you have betrayed Islam. We must preserve the unity of this country to guarantee self-sufficiency, education, peace and unity ”.

He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for hosting the conference and accepting his request for land provision in the state to build an International Islamic Center in honor of Sheikh Ibrahim Niass.

He emphasized that the movement took the opportunity to pray for peace, unity and a good country whose leaders will always do the right thing.

He stressed the need to continue promoting peace, pray and avoid extremism, and said that no matter the difficult situation, Allah will be able to help the country to move forward.

“Therefore, we must not yield our prayers for this country. We need to educate our children, ”he said.

In his remarks, Kogi State Governor Bello described the conference as a historic day for him and the people of Kogi and Lokoja State.

According to him, the state is organizing the world anniversary of Maulid in honor of the Prophet Muhammad and the son of the Great Khalifa Worldwide, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Niass and Ibrahim Lamin, who attended.

Bello noted that, as governor, he is obligated to be fair and ensure fairness for all, regardless of religious or ethnic affiliations.

He said he had learned a lot from the meeting; “Great messages of unity, love, hard work, peace, tolerance and taking our destiny in our hands, which continues to be the message of President Muhammadu Buhari.”

He thanked Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Lamin for the gift of the Holy Quran that he presented to him, and his prayers for him to finish well as governor of the state of Kogi, in addition to fulfilling all his ambitions.
