FUT Minna produces 62 first class graduands

The Federal University of Technology, FUT, Minna, will on February 1, 2018, graduate 3, 741 for its 2016/2017 academic session, with 62 in First Class.
Addressing the press during its pre convocation media brievinbriefing on Thursday, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Bala, explained that out of the figure,3,096 received first degree, while 426 will be awarded Masters degree.
Forty six others, according to him, will bag PhDs and another 173 will be awarded post graduate diplomas.
The Vice Chancellor noted that 62 of the first degree holdersattained First class , 1006  are in Second class  Upper, 1,526 in Second class, lower, 468 in Third class and 34 in Pass degrees.
Prof Bala said the results show an improvement  over last year figures of 549 and 70 respectively.
” The graduands are from the schools of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Environmental Technology, Engineering and Engineering g Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Science and  Technology Education.
” Others are from the two affiliate institutions of Federal College of Education, (Technical), Akoka and Kaduna Polytechnic”.
The Vice chancellor assured that in line with tradition, the original  certificates of graduands will be ready for collection immediately after the convocation ceremony.
He assured of adequate security measures during and after the graduation programme.
