Gbenga Power Foundation distributes agro-allied materials to boost agriculture in Kwara

In a bid to further harness the numerous opportunities in the  agricultural sector of the economy, the Gbenga Power Foundation at the weekend distributed agro allied materials to farmers in rural communities in Kwara South.

The foundation at the weekend distributed salt-lick to some Fulani herders in Oro-Ago, Igbaja and Babanla communities in the Ifelodun Local Government area of the state.

This, according to the foundation will assist beneficiaries to feed their cattle on healthy diets which will support them to fight against bovine tuberculosis which is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium bovis infections during dry season which may by extension, affect human consumption.

Beneficiaries thanked the Chief Promoter of the foundation, Hon. Gbenga Power, for his show of love and concerns towards their well-being and economic activities.

They also assured the people of the community absolute cooperation towards promoting peaceful coexistence in the communities and state at large.

Gbenga Power who was represented during the distribution harped on the importance of harmonious working relationship among members of the communities irrespective of their socio-cultural and ethnic background, stressing that, “It is only in peaceful environments that growth and development can be achieved”.

He however pledged his continuous commitment towards ensuring that meaningful support gets to all groups, associations and institutions across Kwara south in order to serve as palliative to their livelihood.
