Give adequate attention to pilgrims, NAHCON charges medical team

Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, at weekend, charged the
National Medical Advance Team to Saudi Arabia to give adequate attention to the pilgrims while in Saudi Arabia.
Muhammad, according to a statement by the commission’s Head of Public Affairs, Hajia Fatima Sanda Usara, gave the charge while inaugurating a 15-man medical team,
The NAHCON boss advised them to “remain steadfast in the discharge of their responsibilities and to give pilgrims the best attention they deserve”.
He, however, warned them not to give any individual special treatment to the detriment of Nigerian pilgrims who happen to be their primary constituents.
The NAHCON boss prayed for the success of the operations and urged them to also pray for the success of Nigeria, especially the 2019 Hajj exercise.
Earlier, Leader of the National Medical Team, Dr Ibrahim Kana, enjoined the medical practitioners to be respectful to pilgrims, treat them well and to adhere to their duties.
He reminded them that they are in Saudi Arabia primarily to work and not for worship therefore they must not abandon their places of duty for the other, not even on Fridays.
Kana warned the members that they could be recalled to duty post when situation demands notwithstanding whether they are off duty.
He also advised them to respect regulations and laws of Saudi Arabia at all times.
