Gov. Yahaya Bello gets more endorsement for 2023 presidential race

The Women made the endorsement when they visited him at the Kogi Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, stating that they have endorsed Bello based on his excellent performance in Kogi.

Mr. Onogwu Muhammed, Governor Bello’s chief press secretary, revealed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.Hon. Mariam Yunusa, Group Leader and National Women’s Leader, APC Support Groups, praised Bello for all she has done well in Kogi.

Yunusa stated that Bello has performed excellently, especially in the areas of security, inclusion of women and youth in governance, infrastructure, and human capital development.

He stated that the group is aware of what Kogi state used to be in terms of security before the governor took office in 2016 and how the situation has improved now.

“Governor Bello has been able to address insecurity in Kogi, making the state one of the safest in the country today.

“Governor Bello, if given the opportunity, will bring the necessary peace to the country because he has been very ruthless towards the criminal elements in Kogi state,” Yunusa said.

Concerned about the abandonment of women in government, Yunusa pointed out that Bello has exceeded 35% affirmative action considering the number of women in his government.

“Gov. Bello has exceeded 35% of affirmative actions of the United Nations, starting with the Secretary of Government, Head of State Service.

“Vice-rector of the state university, vice-presidents of the 21 local government areas of the state, heads of agencies and parastatals, etc.”, she stated.

Yunusa stated that the two evils facing Nigeria as a country today are insecurity and disunity, noting that Governor Bello has shown political will, leadership quality and the ability to face all threats.

He also stated that Bello’s performance has made him the better choice for Nigerians than any other candidate.

Yinusa stated that the visit is therefore a call by Nigerian women for Bello to run for president in 2023 and found him to be the only person who can bring the much needed peace, security and unity to the country. .

In his response, Bello thanked the group for their support and love for Nigeria.

Bello assured the group that he was not going to disappoint them, affirming that he will not spend the month of March to heed the call of the people.

He praised the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, chairman of the APC Interim Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee for expanding the party’s strength and numbers.

Governor Bello said he will declare his intention to run under the APC after the party’s national convention.

According to the statement, before the 2023 presidential elections, Governor Bello has continued to receive more support from different groups and associations in the country.
