Governor sacks Justice Commissioner
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has sacked the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Kola Olawoye.
Soon after announcing the sack, the governor announced the appointment of a human rights lawyer, Mr Charles Titiloye, as Olawoye’s replacement.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Segun Ajiboye, on Monday
According to the statement, Titiloye’s name would soon be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
The statement quoted the governor as expressing his appreciation to the former commissioner for services rendered to the state while wishing him success in his future endeavours.
However, it was gathered that the sack of the former commissioner was not unconnected with an alleged cold war between him and the governor.
