Gov’s aide donate computers to school in Kwara

NO fewer than four set of computer have been donated to Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Ikotun-Ile in the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State by the Special Assistant to the State Governor on Revenue Matters, Mr Abdulfatai Alabi, ROYAL NEWS has gathered.
Findings showed that the facilities, which were already installed, were formally unveiled for use at the school premises yesterday to the admiration of management, staff and students of the college.
 
The donor said he donated the technological items to prepare the students for Computer Based Test (CBT) ahead of future qualifying examinations.
 
He explained that the society is shifting attention to technology and it behoves any futuristic nation to join the fray so as not to lag behind.
 
Alabi expressed optimism that the facilities would help take the beneficiaries to the next level in their studies.
 
The former Special Assistant promised to connect the College to the national grid to ensuring optimal utilisation of the facilities.
 
Alabi also assured that he would continue to render assistance to the school from time to time, saying that government cannot solely provide all facilities needed in the education sector.
 
“I’m motivated to donate these set of computers to this school because I was overwhelmed with the rousing welcome and warmth embrace of the school the last time I visited.
 
“We are in the age of technology and it is important we assist our students here to get use to facilities like computers as being done in advanced climes so that it would not be strange to them.
 
“Permit me to say that the facilities that we provided today would go a long way in preparing the students for future qualifying examinations, as you all know now that most of the examination bodies in the country have embraced technological ways of conducting their examinations.
 
“I want to hope that the facilities provided today would take the students to the next level in their academic performances”, Alabi said.
 
The Principal of Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Ikotun-Ile, Mr Abdulganiyu Baba, expressed gratitude to the donor for the gesture, assuring that the facilities would be put to good use for the benefit of the students.
 
Before the unveiling of the facilities, the former Governor’s aide had paid homage to the Onikotun of Ikotun-Ile, Oba Abdulrazaq Abioye.
