Kwara United Clinch Federation Cup, Seal Continental Spot

Kwara United FC have closed out the 2024/25 football season on a historic high, etching their name into the annals of Nigerian football with a memorable campaign that delivered silverware, continental qualification, and topflight survival.

The Ilorin-based club clinched the prestigious President Federation Cup title after edging out a determined Abakaliki FC side in a dramatic final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

The match ended in a tense goalless draw, but Kwara United held their nerves to emerge victorious 4–3 on penalties, sending their passionate supporters into rapturous celebrations.

The Federation Cup triumph secured Kwara United a CAF Confederation Cup ticket, marking a return to the continental stage and reigniting football pride in Kwara State.

Despite enduring a challenging league campaign, the Harmony Boys did just enough to survive relegation, finishing 14th on the NPFL26 standings, thereby retaining their topflight status in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

From battling for survival to lifting a national trophy and securing continental qualification, the 2024/25 season will be remembered as one of grit, glory, and growth for Kwara United.
