
Shortly after the conviction of the former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, to 12 years in prison for fraud, he made a special appeal to the officials of the correctional services (prison warders) which

Kalu said: “Where are you taking us to?” after his sentencing, please don’t handcuff me in public, I will follow you”, he added.
It was gathered that Kalu and his co-defendants were being removed from the dock by prison officials, they attempted to handcuff him.
Two unidentified women were also seen weeping as Kalu was being led away. Kalu’s associate, Udeogu, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, while
