IATA Admits United Nigeria Airlines into Global Clearing House

Date:

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has admitted United Nigeria Airlines into its Clearing House (ICH), marking a significant step in the airline’s integration into the global aviation financial system.

United Nigeria Airlines officially joined the IATA Clearing House on February 1, 2026, becoming part of a network of international carriers that use the platform for efficient and secure financial settlements.

In a statement, the airline said the development would enable it to settle interline billings, including passenger and cargo transactions, through a centralized global settlement system used by airlines worldwide.

The management noted that the admission demonstrates its commitment to international best practices, transparency and improved operational efficiency within the aviation industry.

It added that membership in the ICH would support the airline’s broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships as it expands regional and international operations.
