IBEDC Speaks on Abduction of Employees in Ogun

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has confirmed the abduction of two of its staff members in the Ogun region, raising fresh concerns over security in the area.

In a statement issued on Monday, the company disclosed that the incident occurred on April 29, 2026, noting that the affected employees were taken while on duty.

IBEDC expressed deep concern over the situation, stating that its thoughts are with the victims and their families during the difficult period.

The company said it is working closely with security agencies to secure the safe release of the abducted staff, while also maintaining active communication and support for their families.

It added that due to the sensitive nature of the case, further details cannot be disclosed at this time, urging the public to show understanding as efforts continue to resolve the situation.
