No fewer than 10 persons arrested in connection with the fracas which occured during 53rd annual event of the Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union, (IEPDU), have been charged to court.
The suspects were also linked to the prevailing billboards’ destruction in Ilorin, ROYAL NEWS has learnt.

The Minister and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stated this while speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Friday. He also reaffirmed the candidacy of  Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to dismissed the rumour that the APC gubernatorial election primaries has been quashed by a Kwara court.

According to him, “I read the court judgement and there is nowhere in the judgement thatspoke about our candidate not being the valid candidate. Of course we have already appealed the judgement for other reasons but as of today our candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, remains the authentic candidate of the party and that is the situation today with INEC.”
He described the rumour as the handiwork of the dissolved party executives, who are working extra time to spread falsehood, and urged Kwarans to discountenance the rumour making rounds that the recent judgement of an Ilorin High Court invalidated the candidacy of Abdulrazaq.
