The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has sympathised with the Emir and people of Kaima Emirate in the Kwara North Senatorial District of Kwara State over the brutal assassination of some innocent residents of the community.
Alhaji Abdulmalik, in a statement signed by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Dagbo, said that he received the news with profound sadness.
The President, who is a retired Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, said that the Union is concerned because any calamity that befalls any community in Kwara State befalls all of us because of our collective history of friendship, which Ilorin Emirate shares with other communities across the State, particularly with the Kwara North Senatorial District people.
The President specifically sympathised with the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,CON; the Emir of Kauma, Alhaji Omar , the Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Alhaji Sulaiman Sadiq as well as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Salihu Danladi.
Alhaji Abdulmalik implored security agencies to ensure that the criminals who are killing and maiming our people are swiftly apprehended and dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
