I’ll pursue Kadpoly conversion to University with vigour—Adamu

The newly elected National President of the Kaduna Polytechnic Alumni Association, KPTAA, Hon. Abba Anas Adamu, on Tuesday said the alumni under his administration will pursue the age long proposed conversion of the polytechnic into university.
Adamu who was the immediate past interim committee chairman of the Alumni disclosed this during his inaugural speech as newly elected national president of the polytechnic Alumni.
According to him, “The school is currently in dire need of intervention projects across the entire Campuses, adding that the alumni will continue to strengthen it’s collaborative ventures with the management of the institution in contributing towards achieving it’s objectives.
Adamu also reaffirmed determination to use the association to transform Kadpoly into a more viable institution.
Adams said he’s abreast of the enormous challenges of the of polytechnic especially the inadequacy of infrastructural facilities and that of conducive learning environment.
He said the Alumni will remain focused and networked eminent alumni members across the globe to come on board to channel their resources to launch the polytechnic into the 21st century technology base.
Accordingly, he said his regime will generate data base of the polytechnic graduates across the continent, who are doing excellently in their various field of endeavours and engaged them fruitfully to give back to the school as a noble reciprocal gesture.
While he appreciated federal government on the democratization of the Federal polytechnic Act, granting a space for KPTAA into the governing council, he noted that the reform would be used to consolidate in developing effective policies that would advanced the developmental objectives of the institution and support to the genera management and affairs of school.
The inaugural ceremony which took place at the auditorium of the department of engineering was attended by all the newly elected officials of the alumni and other important dignitaries as well as the representative of the Rector of the polytechnic.
