The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has again been commended for sustaining the glorious cultural heritage of the Ilorin Emirate.
This commendation was made by the Danmasani of Ilorin, Engr Sulaiman Yahaya Alapansanpa, FNSE, in his congratulatory message to the Emir on the occasion of his 85th birthday anniversary.
Engr Alapansanpa, who is the Chairman of the Ilorin Emirate Grand Durbar Committee, said that the Emir has tried so hard and succeeded in reviving the culture of the people of the Ilorin Emirate, particularly the annual Grand Durbar, among others.
He added that the Emir, with the initiative, has assisted in no small way in placing Ilorin Emirate in the global cultural map in addition to several benefits the people of the Emirate have derived from the cultural event such as promotion of love and unity and boosting of the local economy.
Engr Yahaya, who is a former Chairman, Governing Board of Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), also thanked the Emir for being a father to all, saying that his reign would continue to be celebrated by indigenes and friends of the Emirate.
The community leader wished the Emir more years of sound health and happiness on the throne of his illustrious forebears.
