The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on Monday rejoiced with all the 51 newly promoted academicians of the University of Ilorin on the attainment of their new ranks.
ROYAL NEWS reports that 20 of them are full Professors while 31 are Readers.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir extends his heartfelt congratulations to the six new Professors of Ilorin Emirate Origin for making the ancient city proud.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari who expressed joy over the development said: “Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence have earned you this well-deserved recognition to the apex rank of the academic career.
“Your promotion is a testament to your expertise, innovative research, and passion for teaching and mentoring. I am extremely proud of your achievements and contributions to grassroots development.
“As you celebrate this milestone, we acknowledge your contributions to the Universityof Ilorin, the nation and humanity at large. Your achievements will undoubtedly inspire future generations of scholars and researchers.”
The Emir however urged them not to relent in their nation-building projects saying, “Please accept our warmest congratulations on this outstanding achievement. We wish you continued success, wisdom, and fulfillment in your in all your endeavours. ”
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore thanked authority of the University of Ilorin under the leadership of its Vice Chancellor, Prof Wahab Egbewole SAN for considering them all worthy of their new ranks.
