Iran has cautioned European countries against intervening in its escalating conflict with Israel and the United States, warning that any military action would be considered an act of war.
The warning followed statements from Germany, Britain and France indicating they could take “defensive action” to neutralize Iran’s missile-launching capabilities amid growing tensions in the Middle East.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei, said at a press briefing that any such intervention would amount to complicity with aggressors.
“It would be an act of war. Any such act against Iran would be regarded as complicity with the aggressors. It would be regarded as an act of war against Iran,” Baqaei stated in response to questions about the European position.
Tensions have intensified in recent days as diplomatic exchanges between Tehran and Western capitals grow increasingly strained over missile activity and regional security concerns. European leaders have signalled that they may respond if threats to their security interests escalate, further raising the risk of broader confrontation.
The developments underscore deepening divisions over Iran’s military posture and the potential for wider international involvement in the conflict.
