The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the sale of its 2026 Direct Entry (DE) application forms to May 8, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete their registration.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board said the extension is aimed at ensuring that no qualified applicant is excluded from the admission process due to time constraints.
To further ease the growing registration pressure, JAMB also approved five additional centres across the country. These include:
- The Centre for Open and Distance Learning, Mini Campus, University of Ilorin, Kwara State
- Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State
- Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State
- Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, Oyo State
- Human Development Initiatives (Grace House), Iwaya, Lagos, scheduled to begin operations on April 30, 2026
The board emphasized that all its offices nationwide—including Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs)—remain fully operational to support candidates throughout the registration process.
JAMB reiterated its commitment to expanding access to tertiary education in Nigeria and encouraged all eligible applicants to take advantage of the extended deadline to complete their applications.
