Jimoh Ibrahim promises improved infrastructural development in Ondo if elected

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer in Ondo State, Mr
Jimoh Ibrahim has promised to improve on infrastructure if elected in the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State.

Ibrahim made this known on Monday while briefing newsmen in Akure, in the state capital.

He said that infrastructural development would be his first priority;
that is improved healthcare services, hospitals, construction of road
network and to encourage entrepreneurship.

The PDP governorship candidate said that payment of outstanding salary of workers would be given adequate priority to eradicate all forms of poverty in the state.

He promised that the state work force would enjoy all necessary
benefits they deserve and also pledged to create public service training schools to re- train the workforce to perform optimally.

He equally promised to re-introduce boarding school to most secondary schools across the state.

“We will promote education by recruiting well trained teachers for
primary and secondary schools to fast track educational sector.
“We will have a synergy among various sector especially private and
public partnership; that would create or add value chain, as this
would increase the financial capacity of the state” Jimoh added.

He promised to upgrade the internally generated revenue by creating a ministry in charge of revenue collection to serve as the engine room in the state.

Jimoh also reiterated his commitment in building a new Ondo State if voted into power.

He said that he would remove all emblems/logos placed by the present administration that were not in conformity with the vision of the founding fathers of the state and replace it with Nigeria Coat of Arms.

He said that he will remove the demarcated barrier on the popular Oba Adesida road in Akure the state capital, saying that it was no longer in vogue in the 21st century city model.

Jimoh said no one could impose any candidate on PDP, decrying the
emergence of another candidate at the primaries in Akure, saying it
was a sham.
