Kebbi Gov. Bagudu launches N1.7bn road projects

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has launched the rehabilitation of rural roads with about 57.8 kilometres worth N1.7 billion at Ribah village, Zuru Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Bagudu, who flagged-off the projects, on Wednesday, said his administration would commence new projects to ensure he fulfilled all his campaign promises.

The rehabilitation of roads were from Ribah–Wasagu-Bena and Zuru township road.

Governor Bagudu stressed that with the support of House of Assembly members, people of the state would witnessed new road projects across the three senatorial districts.

He commended the Emir of Zuru and entire people of the Zuru Emirates for their support and people peaceful coexistence.

The Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Bunu, disclosed that the road projects for rehabilitation from Ribah to Wasagu to Bena is 57.8 kilometres and was awarded to Z.B.C.C Nigeria Ltd with the sum of N1.7 billion.

Bunu disclosed that over N500 millions have been given to the contractor as mobilization fund and the project is expected to be completed within 18 months.

He added that the project including clearing of site,expansion of roads, construction of converts among other.

Speaking with journalists, the General Manager Operations of ZBCC, Khalid Saliba promises that the company will complete the projects within expected schedules and would not compromised quality.
