Nigeria’s Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has finally dropped his ambition to contest the 2023 governorship race in Kebbi State.

Findings by ROYAL NEWS revealed that Malami’s withdrawal from the guber race is unconnected with a very strong political gimmick which is ongoing within the All Progressives Congress,
(APC) caucus ahead of the presidential primaries.

Meanwhile, Malami has further disclosed that he remains on his job as the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice under the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

He confirmed on Saturday that he had indeed given up on the governorship race for now saying, “I have not resigned as the Attorney General of the Federation but have only withdrawn from the Kebbi governorship race.”
