Kwara CMO congratulates Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, salutes Saraki’s courage

The Council of Muslim Organizations, (CMO) Kwara State chapter, has congratulated Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on his election as the Governor-Elect in the last Saturday polls.

In a statement signed at the weekend by the CMO Coordinator in the state, Justice Idris Haroon (rtd) the group also rejoiced with winners of the elections who are of the Ilorin Emirate origin on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), RPYAL NEWS reports.

 Haroon, a retired Grand Khadi of the Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal further commended the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, for his display of maturity and spirit of sportsmanship by accepting the outcome of the elections.

Accoring to him, “We heartily congratulates the Governor-elect in the last Saturday election, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and other elected sons and daughters of our beloved Emirate and  Kwara State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

“May the Almighty Allah endow them

 with the wisdom, courage and strength to steer the the ship of the State to the shore of greatness and prosperity. The Council equally felicitates with the good people of Kwara State for the way and manner they conducted themselves throughout the period of the election, which was  devoid of violence and bickering .

“This  demonstrated our sense of maturity and sincere commitment to live in peace and harmony. The Council equally commends the spirit of sportsmanship that was displayed by the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki for accepting the outcome of the election and  for congratulating the the Governor-elect.”

The statement further reads: “This typifies him as a man of honour, and a true leader who preaches  and embraces peace. We as well thank our amiable God- fearing father of all, His Royal Highness, the Emir of llorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, for his fatherly roles  and prayers which had contributed to the success of the elections.

“May Allah continue to strengthen His Royal Highness. WALLAHU YA’SIMUKA MINANNAS. We pray Allah to guide and direct the affairs of both our State and the Country for greater achievements.”
