Kwara Govt lauded as Babanloma secures Federal Housing Project

The Kwara State Government has been commended for facilitating unprecedented infrastructural transformation in the state’s history, as Babanloma Community in Ifelodun Local Government Area is one of the communities selected for the proposed 100-unit Federal Mass Housing Scheme across the 774 Local Government Areas of the country.

The commendation was made when the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Segun Ogunsola, and his entourage visited Babanloma town to assess the proposed sites for the 100-Unit Federal Mass Housing Scheme.

Speaking at the palace of the Loma of Babanloma, Oba Usman Ayilara, the Commissioner said the Federal Mass Housing Scheme aligns with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration programmes aimed at reducing the state’s housing deficit.

Dr. Ogunsola thanked the people of Babanloma for their cooperation and support for the state government’s policies and programmes, noting that the Federal Mass Housing Scheme would greatly benefit the area.

He assured the people that the state government remains committed to improving citizens’ lives across the board and provided an overview of the federal housing project, which would commence once the ongoing land acquisition process is concluded.

Responding, the Loma of Babanloma, Oba Usman Ayilara, thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for selecting the town for the federal government project, pledging that the people would reciprocate the gesture.

The Monarch expressed excitement at the selection and prayed for continuous guidance for the Governor and his cabinet.

Also speaking, the National President of the Babanloma Descendant Development Union, Chief Tayo Oyelowo, assured the state government of unalloyed cooperation in executing the Federal Mass Housing Project.

Dignitaries present included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaja Risikat Tinuke Abdulazeez; the Director, Personnel, Finance, and Supply, Mr. Adeola Adefila; other management members from the Ministry; and traditional chiefs of Babanloma community.
