Kwara Guber Race: Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will be our next governor—- Gobir

A former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), in Kwara state, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir, has described the sacrifices and maturity displayed by other governorship aspirants as a major factor that led the party to victory at the last polls.
He noted that the outcome of the elections has further demonstrated the fact that, “ultimately, the will of the people and that of Allah prevailed. We are grateful to Allah and the good people of Kwara State.”
While speaking with journalists on Sunday on his arrival at the Ilorin International Airport, Gobir who is also the Waziri’n Hausa said: “As we prepare for the elections slated for March 9th, we pray that Allah should bring all the forces spiritual and temporal that gave us victory on March 23rd to bear. Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will be our next Governor Insha Allah.
“We are also reaching out to all members of other parties and their supporters that collaborated with us in the last elections to please continue their support of APC and Alh Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq. May Allah reward us all abundantly. Ameen.”
While eulogising the virtues of the freedom fighters in the state, the APC chieftain noted that, “Prof Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem (Talba of Ilorin); Hon Mashood Mustapha; Alh Yahman Abdullahi; Mallam Lukman Mustapha; Alh Tajudeen Audu (Makama of Lafiagi); Alh Soliu Mustapha; Mallam Modibbo Kawu; Ambassador Yahya Seriki; Alhaji Hakeem Lawal; Mallam Mohammed Dele Belgore (SAN); Hon Yinka Aluko and Hon Musbau Esinrogunjo are worthy of commendation.”
He further disclosed that “These are names that should go down in Kwara State’s political history as men that liberated Kwara State from the 40 years of political dominance by one family, and 16 years of mismanagement and plundering of the state’s resources.
“Not to be left out, Hon Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Ambassador Nurudeen Mohammed and Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa. They and several others not mentioned all played great roles in the stewardship of the affairs of the party- APC, during the struggle.
“Anyone of the above mentioned gladiators could have emerged as APC’s flagbearer for the gubernatorial ticket, and each one would have done a good job as Governor of Kwara State but God in His infinite wisdom chose Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as the governorship candidate.”
