The Speaker, Kwara House of Assembly, Mr Yakubu Salihu, has described the death of Elerin of Erin Ile, Oba Ibrahim Abdulganiyu Ajibola Olusookun, as a colossal loss.

Salihu, in his condolence message issued in Ilorin, noted that the first-class traditional ruler was an accomplished personality who ruled his community for 41 years with an enviable record of achievements.

He prayed Allah to accept his return and bless him with Aljanat Firdaus.

“Oba Ibrahim Abdulganiyu Ajibola Olusookun II MFR was a rare monarch with exceptional qualities of leadership and community development whose death has dealt us a great blow.

”The late monarch, while reigning for 41 years, strived hard to build and sustain peace, progress and bring development to Erin-Ile and beyond.

“On behalf of the Kwara House of Assembly, our condolences go to the immediate family of Olusookun II, the Erin-Ile Traditional Council and the community as well as the good people of the state as a whole.

”May Allah forgive Oba Olusookun II and admit him into Aljanat Firdaus,” the speaker said.
