Kwara TESCOM opens application portal for teaching jobs

Urges applicants to adhere to rules spelt out in initial statement

..Portal opens Feb 5th-14th

Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has released the application link for its teaching job openings.

Interested and qualified individuals can apply through: http://tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng

The link goes live at 12 midnight on Wednesday February 5th, 2025, and closes on February 14th, 2025.

In a statement on Tuesday, TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar asked all applicants to carefully read through the portal for guidance about the process.

“All applicants are advised to read the press statement initially issued on the recruitment process. The statement is on the portal for ease of reference,” the statement said.

“For clarity, persons without a university degree in relevant subject areas should not apply. Holders of NCE who do not have a university degree should not apply.”

The statement said that applicants who meet the first-layer recruitment criteria will be invited for a computer based test (CBT) at a centre closest to their local government of residence.

It said applicants who pass the CBT test will be invited for interviews, while successful candidates will undergo drug tests at approved NDLEA centres, among other verification exercises that would precede the issuance of employment letters.

“This process, for the record, will strongly balance between qualification, competence, employability, and availability to work in the hinterlands/rural areas where we mostly require teachers,” the statement said.
