Kwara youths commends Ilorin Emirate leaders’ selfless service
A youth group, Kwara Unity Forum has commended Ilorin Emirate leaders for their commitment to the welfare of the less privileged people in the emirate.

The group gave the commendation on Thursday in Ilorin after a special prayers organised for some prominent sons of the emirate.

The prayers were organised for Prof Abdullah Yusuf, Chief Medical Director (CMD), University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Alhaji Yakubu Gobir and Prof Agboola Gambari, Chief of Staff to the president.

Others were Engr Bolakale Kawu-Agaka, Dr Lanre Badmus, Sen Gbemisola Saraki, minister of State, transportation, lawyer Abdulrasaq Bamu, Prof Abdulrasheed Na’ Allah,VC University of Abuja and Hon Mohammed Nda Musa, representing Edu Local Government in Kwara Assembly.

National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Ismail Alada, speaking after the prayers called on them to continue to impact positively on the lives of the people of the emirate.

He commended them for their philanthropic gestures to the less privileged ones in the society.

Alada, therefore called on other notable sons and daughters in the emirate to emulate them and contribute their quota to the development of the emirate and its citizens.

He also commended them for their various developmental projects, financial assistance to the people of the emirate, including youth empowerment, women empowerment and assistance to mosques.

Alada described Prof Yusuf as a man of God that used his resources to the service of humanity and for people of Kwara, adding that he has done well in the area of welfare of the staff of the teaching hospital.

He added that the purpose of the special prayers was to beseech Allah to continue to protect them and provide for them the wherewithal to enable them impact positively in the lives of the people.

Alada commended Alhaji Gobir for the numerous palliative support to the vulnerable in the society as a result of hardship on the people occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Alhaji Yakubu Gobir’s financial assistance, educational support to students and youths across the state is highly commendable,” Alada added.

He charged him not to relent in his selfless service to humanity and pledged that the group would always stands by him in whatever he was doing.

The coordinator prayed that Allah would continue to grow him from strength to strength and reward him in abundantly.

Sheikh Zubair Salman Hassan, who led the prayers enjoined youths in the state to follow the path of honour and emulate their leaders that have made impact on the people.

The sheikh told the emirate sons and daughters not to relent in doing well to the people, adding that there is a reward for good deeds from Almighty Allah.

He prayed that Allah would continue to bless and direct them in the right path and give them good health and long life.
