A lecturer and Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education at the Kwara state University, Malete, Dr. Ajeigbe Issa Yaqub, is dead.
ROYAL NEWS gathered that the varsity don died in his sleep at the early hours of Monday 24th April 2023, thereby leaving family members, associates and colleagues in dismay and shock.
The deceased was also the Ag. Director of Sports at the institution and his funeral prayer (Salatul Janazah) would be held at Budo-Egba, Asa LGA , Kwara state.
According to Dr. Kikelomo Sallee, the Registrar of the university, “With heavy heart, we announce the death of the Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education and Ag. Director Sports of Kwara state University, Dr. Ajeigbe Issa Yaqub. Janaza is at 10.00am today April 24, 2023 in Budo-Egba, Asa LGA of Kwara state.
“As the University mourns this loss of a committed member of staff, we pray Allah forgives all his shortcomings and admits him into jannatul firdaus.”
