The Lagos State Government has dismissed reports alleging a rift between Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the reports were described as false and misleading. He noted that both governors enjoy a cordial, brotherly relationship and maintain regular communication on matters of mutual interest.
Akosile explained that Lagos and Ogun states share boundaries and socio-cultural ties, making cooperation between the two leaders essential. He warned against attempts to spread fake news aimed at creating discord, stressing that both governors are united by a shared vision for development and improved welfare for their people.
