Loyalists Desert Sha’aba Lafiagi, Drum Support for Makama

Facts have emerged on the political situation in Lafiagi Emirate in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State as some political gladiators who are believed to be loyal to the lawmaker representing Kwara North in the National Assembly, Senator Sha’aba Lafiagi, have decided to follow a new path, ROYAL NEWS has learnt.

It was gathered that the scenario which occurred during the just concluded ward and local government congresses of the party
respectively even as some political loyalists are in the process of creating uproar within the party.

Further checks revealed that the lawmaker’s loyalists have deserted him and moved their allegiance to support the political aspiration of the Makama’n Lafiagi, Alhaji Tajudeen Audu, who is vying for governorship seat in the forthcoming elections in 2019.

ROYAL NEWS however gathered that Senator Lafiagi sponsored a protest
on Wednesday in order to prevail of the leadership of the party in the state to declare the party congresses held in Edu local government area null and void.

Speaking with our correspondent on the development, a member of the newly elected executive council of the party said: “We however remain loyal to the Senate President as his leadership has brought us more democratic dividends and an all inclusive youth participation in politics in Edu in particular and Kwara State at large.

“Our loyalty is undiluted and we are sincerely behind him. Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki is our leader and we remain submissive to his able and capable office.”
