The leadership of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has commended the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin, Dr. Abdulkadir Jumuah Salman Solagberu, for his numerous and relentless positive contributions to the sustenance and promotion of the religious and cultural heritage at alll levels.
IEDPU National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Abdulmalik, stated this while reacting to the appointment of the renowned scholar as a Member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, based in Doha, the capital city of Qatar.
IEDPU said that the Union is delighted with the appointment of the Malami Ubandoma into the prestigious Islamic Jurisprudence Researchers Division of the influential body of respected global Muslim scholars.
Abdulmalik, a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, described Malami Ubandoma as an hardworking and exemplary scholar who has done very well for himself, Ilorin Emirate, and Nigeria over the years.
He added that the people of Ilorin Emirate appreciate the contributions of Shaykh Solagberu, who is also the promoter of the proposed Darul Kitab University, Agbeyangi, Ilorin, to the production of high quality and promising scholars as well as for being an agent of positive changes among the Muslim community and humanity at large.
The Union charged the foremost scholar, who is also the proprietor of the famous Darul Kitab Wa Sunna College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin, to continue to serve as a role-model to others within and outside Ilorin Emirate.
The IEDPU President therefore wished the awardee continuous sound health and a more successful career.
