All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state have urged party supporters not to be carried away by the victory of the party in the last presidential and National Assembly elections.

Speaking at a mega rally of the party organized by the APC governorship aspirants from Kwara Central senatorial district, the Talba of Ilorin, Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, said that the people should not allow current euphoria of the last elections victory to blind or delude them into believing that all is well.

“Let us know that the forthcoming governorship and state House of Assembly is the major determinant for us to truly know if Kwara State would be free or not. Don’t let us be carried away by the sincere love people have for us. Let us work hard towards the victory and earn it”, he said.

Professor Oba, who was also one of the APC governorship aspirants in the state, urged party supporters to come out enmasse and vote for Alhaji Abdurahman Abdulrazaq as the next governor of the state and all the APC candidates for the state Assembly elections in order to witness a new dawn in the political history of the state.

He also commended all other governorship aspirants for joining hands with the APC governorship candidate and the entire leadership of the party in ensuring that the state is delivered from poverty and poor infrastructure.

“With this we shall be remembered for securing the future of the current generation and generations yet unborn, by breaking away from the unfortunate practices and traditions which has proliferated our society in the last 16 years”, he said.

The rally which commenced at the APC secretariat at Alanamu Isale Aluko area of the metropolis took the people round areas like Surulere, Taiwo, Unity, Offa Garage, Pipeline areas and terminated at Adewole base ball stadium.
