MEDIA WATCH GROUP EXTOLS SULTAN AS HE MARKS 15 YEARS ON THE THRONE
The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria (NSCIA) His Eminence Alhaji (Dr) Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR has been described as an outstanding Nigerian Leader whose patriotism and dedication to well-being of citizenry, peace and stability in Nigeria is highly remarkable and commendable.
Today marks 15 Years of the installation of the Sultan.
In its goodwill message to the Sultan on his 15th Years Anniversary on the throne of his forefathers, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria (MMWG) stated that Sultan Saad Abubakar by his performance in office in the last 15 Years, he has redefined leadership roles by his practical example in various ways.
The message which was signed and released in Ilorin – Kwara State today by the National Coordinator of the Group Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, said the Sultan is a true leader worthy of emulation in various areas such as sacrifice of his personal comfort for the welfare and well-being of the people, religious tolerance and promotion of inter-religious dialogue with a view of promoting peace, unity and understanding among people of different ethnic and religious background.
On Governance, it should go down in history that Sultan Saad Abubakar has been proactive in guiding the Nation’s political leadership on ‘what is right and what is wrong’. His standing aloof from politics underlined his values and virtues that he is not materialistic nor greedy. In fact, if all Religious and Traditional Rulers in Nigeria follow the path of honour as being thread by His Eminence the Sultan, the Nation would have been better governed than it is now, the Group asserted.
The Muslim Ummah in Nigeria would continue to value the Sultan’s unequalled persistent tours of all parts of Nigeria to meet the Muslims irrespective of their percentage in any part of the Country from time to time.
His leadership awards in areas education, welfare for the less-priviledged citizens, women education and his desire to facilitate a University exclusively for women in the Country is highly commendable.
May Allah continue to bless him and grant him long-life in sound health than desired….Ameen. His impactful 15 Years in office is a morale-booster for the muslims and non-muslims alike.
