In a video shared Monday by football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Messi described the experience as deeply personal. “Last night I returned to a place that I miss with my soul. A place where I was immensely happy,” he said.
Messi added that he hopes to come back in a more permanent capacity someday. “I hope one day I can come back, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I could never do,” he said.
