Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to protecting citizens, infrastructure, and investments in the country.

The Minister gave the assurance on Saturday during a working visit to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery Company in Lagos

According to a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday by Director, Information and Publicity, Ministry of Defence, Mr Henshaw Ogubike, the Minister commended Aliko Dangote’s bold investments in Nigeria, which he said would boost the economy, create wealth, and generate employment.

The Minister assured Dangote and other investors that their investments would be protected in the country under the administration.

“The refinery, a multi-billion dollar project, will meet 100% of Nigeria’s refined product requirements and have a surplus for export.

“The Minister described it as a viable investment that the Federal Government will provide security to maintain high production levels.”

Furthermore, he commended Dangote’s patriotism and courage in investing in Nigeria, thereby boosting the economy through wealth creation and employment generation.

He described the refinery as the biggest in Africa and assured of maximum security around the facilities.

Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Refinery, thanked the Minister for the visit and reiterated his commitment to the Nigerian project, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for improved lives through wealth creation and employment for the youth.

“The refinery will meet 100% of Nigeria’s refined product requirements and have a surplus for export, creating a market for $21 billion per annum of Nigerian crude,” he said.
