Clem Agba,
Mr Clem Agba, Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, has urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love for country and good neighbourliness as Christians celebrate Easter.

This, he said, is in accordance with what the teachings and lessons of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ exemplify.

Agba, in an Easter message in Benin on Sunday, said that Christians, wherever they might be, should show tolerance, embrace peace, understanding and other virtues that unite humanity, strengthened friendship and deepen brotherhood.

According to him, this is the only way that we can draw some meaning and give appreciation to God for the gift of Jesus Christ to the world and his phenomenal sacrifice of His life on the Cross at Calvary, where He shed His precious blood as propitiation for the sins of mankind.

The minister said that the world needed Jesus Christ to achieve God’s plans and purpose for humanity.

He noted that having received Him from God, it behoves mankind to focus on Him for solutions to global conflicts.

He stressed that this year’s Easter “provides yet another opportunity to renew our focus on Jesus Christ and seek to make Him the central reason for all that we do to improve our society in particular and humanity in general.”
