Popular content creator and activist, Mr Macaroni, has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as “a party filled with the most corrupt people,” following the recent backlash surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s presidential pardon granted to convicted criminals.
According to reports, the president approved the release of 175 inmates, including drug barons, human traffickers, illegal miners, and convicted murderers — a move that has drawn widespread condemnation from Nigerians, particularly on social media.
Reacting to a post by an X user, @DOlusegun, who criticized civil society groups for remaining silent on the matter, Mr Macaroni accused the APC of hypocrisy, saying the party now indulges in the same actions it once denounced.
“Every evil that the APC once condemned, they now practice and support,” Mr Macaroni wrote. “APC is a party filled with the most corrupt people, surrounded by the worst sycophants. A marriage of doom and misfortune!”
The comment has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians echoing his sentiments while others defended the government’s decision.
