NAN commended for establishing office in Daura

The Management of Gotel communications, a private media outfit, has commended the  management of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for establishing a new district office in Daura, Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Alhaji Yakubu Mohammed, the Managing Director of the outfit, made the commendation in Daura on Friday when he visited the office, located on Muhammadu Bashar road.

Mohammed described the effort as spectacular and expressed optimism that it would open up entire zone to the larger society in terms of the happenings in the area.

According to him, the move will also promote media patronage among the people of the zone.

He said the zone was the biggest among the three zones comprising of 12 local government areas: Daura,Sandamu,Maiadua,Zango,Baure,Dutsi,Mani,Mashi and Kusada.


Others he said were: Bindawa,,Kankiya and Ingawa local govetnment areas while Katsina and Funtua zones had eleven local governments each.

Mohammed described NAN as the epitome of objective and balanced journalism,stressing that subscribers of the agency’s stories needed not to re edit them because of their  rich contents.

The managing director also commended the management and members of staff of NAN expertise being used in processing the stories.

Mohammed, who described himself ‘’son of the soil and traditional title holder’’ promised to do everything possible to promote the activities of the agency in the zone through useful advice.
