The Niger State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Nasko has pledged to pay N20,000 monthly stipends to all registered graduates when voted to power come 2019 general elections.
ROYAL NEWS reports that Umar Nasko made the promise at the weekend in Suleja at the flag-off of the 2019 zonal election campaign rally.
He said that his administration will establish a Special Directorate of Job Vacancies where graduate Nigerlites would be registered for identified job opportunities in the state and country.
He explained that the stipend will go a long way in the curtailment of youths restiveness especially graduates who are the future leaders and the hope of the country
According to him, such stipend will stop the graduates from involving themselves in all kinds of crimes like thuggery, drug abuse, armed robbery and other menace in the society.
Nasko reiterated that he was arrested, detained and prosecuted by the current government to tarnish his image but has remained resolute, focused and unshakable and not intimidated by all their trick to let them down.
“We were arrested, detained and prosecuted by the All Progressives Congress APC government but we cannot be intimidated, we only fear God and we are sure that we will take over government because they have failed to provide the required dividends of democracy to the people” he stated.
The two time Candidate of the PDP berated the present governor Abubakar Sani Bello for not doing enough for the development of the state in the last three years of governance despite not distracted by court cases, ‘it is regrettable and very unfortunate for the opportunity given to him’.
“I would have done better and can do better than the present governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello as a government in the last three and half years”
He urged the electorate to get their PVC ready and come out enmass to vote for him and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections to better their lives once again as he is God sent to them.
Nasko who assured that Nigerlites will be proud of his four years governance promised to serve with all his strength honestly with sincerity of purpose and with the fear of God to take the state to next level of development and return to the lost glory.
The immediate past Niger State Governor, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu said that the 2019 will be devoid of religious and tribal sentiments at both national and Niger East senatorial district which was experienced in 2015 general elections.
He stated that the APC led government by President Muhammadu Buhari has incurred more debt than the PDP as Paris Club debt was paid off by former president Olusegun Obasanjo but reverse is the case within the last three years .
Aliyu challenged the electorate to commence door to door, ward to ward campaign strategy because rallies are to ensure everyone is carried along which is just 5 percent campaign admonishing the party to continue to mobilize the members to ensure victory of the PDP next year polls.
The State party Chairman, Barrister Tanko Beji then presented the party flags to the Senatorial candidate Barr. Ibrahim Ishaku SAN, three House of Representatives members and nine local government House of Assembly members for 2019 elections.
Beji charged the electorate to jealously protect their votes up to collation centres and should not be intimidated by the presence of security agencies and also resisted to all forms of manipulation by the INEC officials alleging a pre planned collaboration to rig in favour of the ruling party.
