The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has described the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, Esuwoye II, as an asset to humanity as he clocks 10years on the throne on tomorrow (Saturday).

The Emir in his congratulatory message to Oba Gbadamosi signed by his Media Aide, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, expressed joy over the feats and landmark achievements attracted to the ancient city of Offa since his enthronement.

According to him, “The enthronement of Oba Esuwoye II to the exalted stool of Offa Kingdom has attracted tremendous growth and development to the community with the demonstration of strong vision and commitments towards the preservation of the tradition, customs and unique culture of the people of Offa.

“His Royal Majesty, Oba Esuwoye II has also sustained the annual Ijakadi cultural festival which has over the years served as a unifying factor for the Offa indigenes home and abroad. He is an asset to humanity with exemplary attitudes of tolerance, humility and excellence. He introduced modernization to the throne without altering the norms and traditions existing from time immemorial.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however thanked the entire people of Offa, religions groups, associations, Offa Descendant Union, (ODU), friends and well wishers for standing firm by Oba Esuwoye II in the last years.

He therefore appealed to residents of Offa to continue to support the monarch with fervent prayers so as to live long on the throne in a bid to achieve more for the community and humanity at large.
