OPINION…MBI: A young man towing the path of light

A good name they say holds more propensity of greatness than riches and to be revered is more precious than gold or silver.

Mohammed Baba Ibrahim is not so endowed with riches to throw around and hardly lobby to pay homages to high-ranking officials but he is just purely blessed with impeccable character and unflinching humility he never ceases to display at all time.

Little wonder, why those who have come in contact with him never desist from bestowing him with so much respect, loyalty and honour beyond ordinary doubt.

Testimonies of his goodly and philanthropic attitudes and activities has made many young and old individuals to sing praises of him both afar and near to amaze those who never even knew what he stands for.

It is not a surprise that a young man like him can command so much influence and respect from people because he is just a man, who is ever ready to offer help where and when needed without counting the cost or considering what he would gain therein.

MBI as popularly called, represents a young man of many paths; an agile man in his thirties with a vision so bright as a crystal, yet with unwavering passion to change his society and the world at large through positive innovations.

The Lafiagi born technocrat represents an emblem of virile and excellent youthful representation, an ability he has continued to showcase through different phases he has passed through in his sequence of public and civil services.

However, little wonder why he was the Pioneer Member representing Kwara North Senatorial District at the Nigerian Youth Parliament, National Assembly, Abuja, a position he held between 2008 and 2010 with lofty ideas and dexterities.

The University of Ilorin product is a certified accountant who has replicated how someone who is formally trained and as well, self trained would behave when given the chance to display his potentials.

His ingenuity and selfless service to work has made him risen to the post of becoming the first youth and also the youngest Bursar of a Nigerian Tertiary institution. MBI’s untiring accountability and expertise at work, which he never cease to display has made him loved by everyone that has come across him in his accounting career.

In addition, the indefatigable leader who at different times served as Social/Publicity Secretary, Assistant General Secretary and also the General Secretary of ICAN, Ilorin District Society who is wanted by the teaming youths and elders of his constituency is now keen to commit himself for development and interest of the people of his constituency in Edu, Moro and Patigi by representing them at the hallowed chamber of the House of Representatives.

He is a young and visionary man who has promised to secure the people’s hard won political freedom with economic rights by enunciating and implementing programmes that would free the teeming masses from hunger, ignorance, disease and powerlessness if given the chance.
