Osofisan to deliver lecture at Trinity varsity’s maiden convocation

The first African woman Professor of Computer Science, Prof. Adenike Osofisan, will on Thursday 22, February 2024 deliver the maiden convocation lecture of the Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos State.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the institution’s core values are godliness, academic excellence, professionalism, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and discipline with Professor Clement Kolawole as its Vice-Chancellor.

Titled, ‘Disruptive Technology: The Ambiguous Friend!,’ the lecture will be chaired by Deacon Adebowale Tade, Chairman of, Board of Trustees, Trinity University and to be followed by a Thanksgiving service at 4.00 pm.

A statement issued by the university noted that the maiden convocation is scheduled to hold on the university campus, from Wednesday 21 to Friday 23, February 2024 with the theme: “Convoking a Galaxy of Trinity Stars”.

“The ceremonies would commence on Wednesday 21, February 2024, with a press conference, at 11.00 am and a programme of student activities later at 4.00 pm.

“The finale of the ceremonies, which is the main convocation event is on Friday 23, February 2024, and it will feature the investiture of the Chancellor, presentation of prizes, and awards of honorary and first degrees.

It would be recalled that Trinity University,
Yaba, has matriculated five sets of students and graduated two sets, who would graduate in the coming ceremonies, since its existence in 2018.
