PDP Wins Kaduna House of Assembly Re-Run

The Candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Comfort Amwe has won the Sanga Constituency rerun election held on Saturday in kaduna state.

The PDP candidate Mrs. Amwe scored 19,815, to defeat her opponent, Hon. Haliru Gambo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 19,688, in the keenly contested state assembly election.

The returning officer, Dr. Sani Sadiq Kubau announced Mrs. Comfort Amwe, who retained her seat at the Kaduna State House of Assembly as the valid winner of the Saturday’s 25th rerun election.

Some voters, who speaks after casting their votes, described the election as peaceful, free and fair, adding that there was no security breach before and after the final election result was declared.

The current deputy governor of Kaduna State, Haj. Hadiza Balarabe, held from Sanga local government area of Sanga constituency.
