Post UTME: 25,000 applicants jostle for UNILORIN’s admission
No fewer than 25,000 admission seekers are set to sit for this year’s post-UTME test of the University of Ilorin scheduled to hold from Monday 13th February to Friday 17th February.
The computer-based test, which is part of the pre-admission screening of candidates for the 2022/2023 admission exercise, will hold on the University campus beginning from 8.00a.m. each day.
The University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Abayomi Omotesho, who disclosed this in while speaking with journalists in his office. He noted that adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure that the Computer Based Test (CBT) goes smoothly and without hiccups.
Prof. Omotesho explained that the test is expected to be completed by Thursday, February 16, 2023, noting that Friday 17th is to accommodate any candidate that fails to sit for the test within those four days.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor further noted that the CBT would be conducted only within the University campus, pleading with parents to ensure that their wards comply with all the test instructions.
He charged the candidates to maintain decorum, assuring that the University has sufficient capacity to handle the number of candidates enrolled for the test, ROYAL NEWS reports.
Prof. Omotesho warned candidates to beware of scammers and counselled them to only use the official platforms of the institution for information and communication.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor also advised the candidates to attend the test punctually at the time they are scheduled for, adding that “they should also dress decently as the University places great emphasis on decent dressing on its campus”.
