Reps Approve Tinubu’s State of Emergency Declaration In Rivers

The House of Representatives has approved the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, following a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a decisive vote, 243 lawmakers out of 360 total members of the Federal House of Representatives backed the motion.

The lawmakers approved the six-month suspension of Governor Sim Fubara, his deputy, and all elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
